In 2002, Time honored Wong How Man as one of its 25 "Asian Heroes," calling Wong "China's most accomplished living explorer." It was my honor to edit three of his bilingual books published by Commonwealth. I had great fun as editor of Taiwan Formula, a quarterly business magazine. The position gave me many opportunities to meet and write about fascinating people. On the cover at right is Lin Hsin Yi, Taiwan's economics minister, who talked to me about that country's IT prospects. During my tenure at Taiwan Formula, the magazine saw a remarkable increase in circulation and profitability.
